10-7 season over

I know—lack of run game and rpo, but then again, injuries. Shanahan, too, also went pass happy for the same reasons. Probably anyone would.

I can't be disappointed in a 10-7 year, Of course it would have been better had we made the playoffs...but whatcha gonna do?

I knew that friggin' loss to the Giants was going to hurt us...and it did.

Like you, I’m not disappointed at 10-7. I am, however, disappointed that we got rid of our oc after one year, after all going 10-7 and second in the division.

Fun season. I hope next year we go in with a viable QB3 & QB4 so we actually have a chance to compete down the stretch.

As opposed to lucking into Sean Mannion when Drew had to start and they had no qb3? Or wasting all of otas and camp trying out qbs?

The new oc doesn’t have to mess with that this year.

Yeah hopefully those crippling disasters can be avoided going forward!

So, you’d actually prefer we just grab some guy off the street who doesn’t know our playbook in week 12? You actually want us to go through signing a udfa unknown even among UDFAs, then waste our whole tc with Walker who is now a cfl backup? Or the year before where we brought in a losing xfl qb as we had no one to throw to receivers?

Whatever you think of Grubb, he has saved his successor from even having to think about finding a qb3.

That's the only obvious conclusion

Well, so what’s your alternative that you like better, Zeb?

JFC. With the way it’s now set up, you of all people should be delighted. Both Hall and Plumlee will be invited onto the 90 man, which means enough qbs to throw the ball.

Why would that delight me when I couldn't care less?

That’s my whole point! The new oc needs to do zero on the qb3 situation as Grubb has left him a turnkey solution. If the new guy bounces Howell, he can still be our qb3. If not, we got Hall. And if we are going to just ignore the position, we at least have someone who has been on three ps as a qb to fill in if there’s anemergency in Plumlee. . It’s idiot proof, which means the new guy can spend more time on issues you care about.

Hall and Plumlee are as likely to be around come TC as they are to be jettisoned before then. There will be QBs in camp who may or may not ever sniff the 53 or the PS. It doesn't matter and I don't care.

I would be interested in drafting a prospect this year even though it sounds like (and I don't pay enough attention to college ball to know one way or the other) it's a pretty mid QB class.

The point isn’t that you don’t care, the point is that the Seahawks did care enough to not have to scout some udfa like Cordero or Ahlers, or bring in a fringe vet like Walker, just to have no one until the Vikings released hall who fell into our laps. As you point out, this draft isn’t good for qb anyway. And actually with Plumlee on board, they don’t need to have a qb3 as they can just sub him.

You just don't get it do you?.....

That is 100% my point

Well, you should care about competitive advantage.

The Hawks’ attention to detail toward qb3 gives them a competitive advantage in that all the man hours spent evaluating Ahlers, Cordiero, Taulia and Walker can be diverted to other positions. The Hawks promoting both to the active roster means that the hawks are good there for camp so that now there are more resources for stuff you presumably care about.
