Yes I'm huffing the fumes of a last minute win, but our next 3 opponents are absolutely beatable. If...If...If our defense can play like they did yesterday. Longest running play from scrimmage, not counting Purdy was 11 yards. With the exception of Jauan Jennings the others were held to minimal gains. Something I did not know about McDonald is he is of the bend don't break camp of defenses. Yesterday was the best we've seen, keeping everything in front of them for the most part. Watching them this season has been frustrating as they don't seem able to stop people, but if the idea is to make them run 15+ plays to score each time, it makes more sense. In previous games they weren't able to avoid the big plays, and that killed us, today they did...mostly. There was that Jauan guy.

Two down and two to go. The defense played great, stopping the run, holding them to 49 yards. Coming into the game I'd read they were a strong running team and one of the best at protecting the QB. Is this D for real? Did they discover some secret sauce? Or are they playing above their heads and will revert? 3 games in a row they have shown up against quality opponents, leaning real. Only negative was McBride. Seems there is always someone that we forget(?) to cover.

Geno...damn he's so good and then...I realize every QB makes mistakes, but Geno's seem "special". Maybe it's my homer glasses and the up and down nature of this season, but that one hurt. He does so many amazing things, throws such a great ball and makes more good than bad decisions. The protection was not as good as last week, but Geno found ways to extend plays and move in the pocket, but again there were times where no one was open. Is it the receivers or the play design? And what has happened to Lockett? He's gone missing.
