Bo nix visits with hawks

Ok geniuses, then why are 31 other teams putting more effort into securing a qb3 than we are? If it’s all a waste of time, then why are they doing it?

Probably because their QB1-2 suck.

Where are you getting that all other teams are investing in QB3's? Last year's two Superbowl teams only had 2 QBs on the roster.

They're not

Oh really? Look at our division rivals. Look at the Super Bowl teams, the playoff contenders, and the non contenders. The overwhelming pattern is that teams come in with their qb3 already with about 1 in 3 bringing in a qb4 in camp to compete.

If the position didn’t matter, why is Shanahan bringing in udfa competition for Brandon Allen during camp? Why did Reid sign Ian Book to compete with Oladokun? Because to them, and to most, qb3 is the last position you’re gonna cut.

QB3 is NOT the last cut. What planet do you live on?

I don't think many teams are putting a lot of effort into securing their #3 QB. Some teams are looking at rookie or limited experience QBs on their rosters to see if/when they'll break into the top 2 QBs against the 2 QBs they already have in place. Other teams are having a battle for the #2 QB spot. Some teams have everything already in place and are looking at all sorts of preseason roster churn because they've got nothing better to do than look for depth outside of their top 48 game-day players.

It's May. The good players are still on holiday, (or on the run, or are in rehab centers  ). Some teams need specific positions to fill early preseason camp positions. Those teams are making temporary signings which might look like QB3 effort.

Regardless, the Seahawks have more pressing issues with limited time opportunities for their new coaching staff and the new systems. The time to look at QB3 and QB4 was last year.

QB3 is absolutely the last cut on your ps squad. Whomever they select in camp should be seen as him u

The Niners and Chiefs never expected Brandon Allen or Chris Oladokun to provide meaningful competition at qb2, nor did they bring in Tanner Mordecai or Ian Book to be the eventual qb2. They’re just looking to improve within the same category of “reliable butt that can sit as qb2 for a year” so that it’s not a distraction for them while, as you say, they can focus on the more important things.

Trying out two guys for camp costs two spots out of 37 who won’t make the roster, and placing one on ps takes only one spot of 16. At the very least, it’s more important to have a guy for a year so you’re not scrambling to find him when the time comes.

Camp arms

Neither the Chiefs nor the Niners have a need for a camp arm. Ian Book has at least played a game whereas Oladokun hasn’t. Now that they both cost the same, Reid is looking to see if there’s any advantage, and Shanny is seeing whether Mordecai offers long term cheaper value.

Book has no business even being in a camp.. How do you even dig up this imfo? I'd like to see you in a Fantasy Football L
It would be interesting to see your lineup and backups to it.
