So either this means we jettison Howell that we paid with picks to get last year on his rookie deal. Or we keep three qb on the roster, which we haven’t, or Drew gets poached from ps.

It seems like all the offensive players I don't like, think are overrated, or have little faith in are gravitating towards John Schneider. I know the Seahawks still have a lot of Draft picks to improve the team with but with a decent O-Line this could well be a bottom 10 offense. With a bad O-Line they could be bottom 3.

I feel we are repeating the same pattern that Minny did, but without the injury to McCarthy. If it ever came down to Sam being hurt, they were supposed to have Mullens and hall but instead released hall for Brent Rypien.

The Minnesota situation isn’t ours, though.

Since at least Russ, we have run with two rostered qbs. We even tried going without one for weeks in 2023 between Horton Ahlers (released from ps in September and then October) and Brett Rypien (acquired amd poached off the ps) and finally Sean Mannion who by that point was rostered to finish out the year.

Followed by an orderly 2024 in which we ended up with Jaron Hall, which the vikes had picked and were intending to keep until they panicked and got Rypien.

But now we are panicking to the point of offering Drew 3m to come back and compete with Howell. If Howell gets cut chances are he does not even get to our ps given that he started a whole year. And if Jaron is cut, the vikes likely give him his job back. Which means a three rostered situation, which we’ve never done.
