Saleh and Kyle’s records this year are both 2-3 and no one’s talking about firing Kyle. This seems premature. But The owner of the jets wants to return to being us ambassador to uk under a Trump admin, so there’s that.

I don’t think it was THE reason, but I think it was A reason. Woody wants to be reappointed as ambassador to the uk by Trump. Saleh being shown wearing a Lebanon patch right after the anthem in England looks bad.

It makes sense. No way they can have a pro Lebanon guy running the show...

The NFL has a heritage month when players and coaches can display international flags on their uniforms. Saleh displayed Lebanese flags in 2023 without incident. I doubt it's a problem now. On the other hand if Saleh or his family had contact with, or was sending money to, certain individuals or groups that could be a huge issue. The NFL wouldn't know and US intelligence would have no reason to tell the Jets owner. The owner's friends in the UK diplomatic service on the other hand...well that would be information that you'd only pass on in person. It's probably a wild conspiracy, but let's see if/when Saleh gets another NFL job.
