Dionte Johnson, WR for the Ravens, and DeVondre Campbell, a linebacker for the 49ers, both refused to enter games, but the punishment has been way different.

The Ravens suspended Johnson for one game. Then they mutually agreed that he could skip all of this weeks practice. They’re keeping it open.

The 49ers slammed the door shut on Campbell, hitting him with a three game suspension that ensures not only that they don’t have to pay him, but no other team like Detroit can either.

The 49ers should be seen as setting the example here. The majority of players are backups whose only reason to be there is next man up. And what happened is that Greenlaw and all other replacements were hurt and he refused to play, forcing safeties into lb positions.

It amazes me that a player in the NFL would be so stupid to do this.
Like who's going to want a quitter they can't count on?

Maybe the Lions as they’re looking for a playoff push amid defensive injuries. Or any other contender with a hole to fill before season’s end.

Teams are usually decent about mutually releasing players when they become non contenders, especially if that player isn’t part of next years plans.
