QB Bryce Young lock for #1 pick to Panthers

Bryce Young is as much of a sure-thing as you can have. Doesn't always work out, but I'd definitely be surprised.

Im trying to write my official Hawkscast mock which is usually out by now but man its tough this year.. very late rumors keep changing the top. Young at #1 isnt a surprise, but rumors abound at all the top 10 spots after that and Stroud is no looking very likely to slide...

Dude is way better than Andy Dalton as a ceiling.

Could be. I just don’t see him reaching that ceiling. He strikes me as a guy who has a 15 year career as an average spot starter and safe backup.

I mean, if you play in the NFL for 15+ years, you're gonna make a nice chunk of change and probably end up as a coach down the line.

If you're the #1 pick though, you need to have something to show for it otherwise you'll get labeled a bust.
 
I don't know what you guys are looking at. He has incredible football IQ, great footwork and arm motion, he's quick and accurate... He's mobile and he can throw on the run incredibly accurately.

Dalton had far more of a windup and way less accuracy. Have you seen Bryce throw an out-route? It's a thing of beauty.

He's smaller than even Johnny Manziel was.
