For a 2025 6th round pick that goes to a 4th round pick based on playing time. Looks like we got ourselves a QB battle in the steel city!
A 6th is kind of telling. Nobody offered better? I'd like to see him unseat Me3 though.I'm not surprised to see the Bears throw in the towel on Fields. He's shown marginal improvement over the course of the past 3 seasons. Had they not been sitting on the #1 overall, they likely would have stuck with him another year, but they can't afford to waste this opportunity to get the pick of the litter in a strong QB class. But I am surprised that he went so cheap. I would have thought that the Bears could have started a bidding war with teams like the Raiders and Colts, who are picking outside of the top 10.
This is a strong move for the Steelers. It's a nice, cheap insurance policy should Russell falter.
Yeah, that surprised me, too. The Niners got a 4th for Trey Lance.A 6th is kind of telling. Nobody offered better? I'd like to see him unseat Me3 though.
