Trey Lance should start this year.

Dak Prescott needs hamstring surgery. He’s done for the year. If Rush loses two games, the team might as well give the kid—well, actually a veteran—his chance for the rest of the year. You’re not going anywhere at 3-8 so you may as well see how Lance performs. If he’s a bust as I suspect, the team should be well positioned to draft a new qbotf to sit behind Dak,

The last time I saw a team play this poorly was the broncos rams Xmas game of 2022. If McCarthy finishes the year out at this rate, I would be surprised.

Dallas fans can’t even look forward to tanking for next year as Jerruh gave Dak 230m in guarantees through 2028.

Jerruh said they would start Cooper Rush against the Texans. The guy who had three ints for a total of 45 yards with 10 yards his biggest throw. And meanwhile, the fans want Trey, 92 to 8.

Trey is the only silver lining here. The play is that someone will pick Lance up in free agency and that Dallas will get a comp pick, which no one will if no one sees Lance start.

Nobody focuses their season around getting a 5th or 6th round compensatory pick in 2 Drafts time.

There is no other play that makes sense for 2024.

Rush threw for a total of 45 yards and three ints. It’s Trey audition time, or should be. Rush is old and under contract whereas Trey can maybe get them a seventh, just as cj beathard did for the Niners when he went to Jax the same year the Niners acquired Lance. The Beathard pick turned out to be Brock Purdy.

Jerruh is famously allergic to taking fa, instead relying on the draft.

I'm sure there are people who are eagerly anticipating a potential Thanksgiving Thriller between Trey Lance and Tommy DeVito. Perhaps those same people might like to read about DeVito's promotion to the Giants starting QB role, (ahead of former Seahawks QB Drew Lock), in a "Hawks Cast dot net QB3 Super-thread"?

Two qb3s starting on Thanksgiving? Yum. That said, having to play your qb3 because of injuries or benching could always happen. And when they do, they can surprise you.

Maybe they could put an Imane Khelif fight on another channel. Then i'd be spoilt for choice. :cautious::sneaky:

There’s a dog show if you would rather.

Dallas should be starting Lance for the same reason the Giants are starting DeVito.

There are 5 2-win teams and 4 3-win teams. I doubt the Cowboys can out-tank those other teams for a top pick, especially with Lamb and Parsons. I'll pass on the dog show, unless there's inside information on a betting coup.

Ok, what are we looking at right now bet wise for Dallas considering they’re down 17 with 12 minutes remaining?

Just put Lance in. Start him for the rest of the year.

They literally have nothing to lose.

And fix your stadium, Jerruh.

Wow. What a game. 34-10, Texans

Could it be that Trey Lance is just so bad in practice that he can’t be trusted to mop up that 4th quarter?
