Been out since Tues night. PSE estimates power will be back Sat 12pm. We're ok, running a generator for lights and heat. Lived out here for 24 years, so no stranger to this, still be glad when it's fixed.

We were supposed to get it on vancouver Island.. turned out to be a climate change hoax...its called November...the weather sucks...but definitely need a generator in those parts.

I live in Silicon Valley. Our power goes out maybe twice a year, but very rarely over a day.

The other day was the worst. We had barely gotten weather, but it knocked down a power pole on the block. We were fortunate to score a small generator from Home Depot to power one extension cord to which we powered up electronics and lamps. My heat is gas, which I will not get rid of.

And...it's back. Earlier than thought which is fine wit me. With the generator life is not that different than without it. Hot water is propane and we have a Gentran that runs six circuits in the house. So not all lights, but all lights in the main areas. But not all lights and not the septic system. If we use too much water the tank can fill and sets off an alarm. That's the biggest issue with the house and then just the pain of managing the generator. Running an electric cable to the gentran switch and gassing it up every 12 hours and listening to it run. You can't hear it that much in the house, not at all in our bedroom, but anytime you go outside it's whirring away. Gets to be a grind.

Life is sweeter when you're on the grid.
