7% solution? I think Geno's more of an issue than that, but he's not all the problems. Number one issue is Oline. Protection needs to be better and open more holes for the running game. Change that and our offense, even with Grubb, would be fine.
On Grubb, it's so hard to tell watching on TV why Geno holds the ball so long. No one open? No check down? Geno gets brain lock? Bad play calling. One thing about watching Mahomes, aside from being a great athlete, he never panics. He goes through his reads and if protection breaks down, he knows exactly where the check down is and he dumps it off. Now, is that because he's just that much better than Geno or is it because Reid designs his plays so there is always somewhere to go with the ball. Grubbs plays seem very basic and he or the coaches, or the players do not know how to get blocking out on a bubble screen. Hate that play when we run it, but it sure seems to work for other teams.
I don't know the answers, but I know Geno drives me crazy. One play he throws a perfect looking pass, and the next he takes a 8 yard sack pushing us out of field goal range or throws into trouble.
As for what scoring 6 points against the Bears says about how we'll do against the Rams, I'd say not much. Offense has been hit and miss all year, so who knows what will show up. All I know is Jan 4th or 5th will be much more fun if Arz beats the Rams. How's that for genius?
